Co-Adapt

Project Name: Co-ADAPT
Date: November 2025 – August 202
Location: Ankara
Role Of DKM: As a partner strengthening the focus on biodiversity and ecosystem services, DKM ensures that small-scale nature-based solutions are scientifically sound, adapted to local conditions, and supported by education. DKM coordinates local implementation and stakeholder engagement in Ankara and contributes to the dissemination of project outputs and science communication.
Project Summary: The main objective of the project is to create more resilient, liveable, and greener cities through small-scale nature-based solutions developed with the active participation of local communities, in response to the impacts of climate change and biodiversity loss in urban areas. The project aims to move the concept of nature-based solutions beyond policy and expert circles, transforming it into practical, tangible actions that urban residents can understand, apply, and take ownership of in their daily lives.

To this end, the project seeks to empower adult learners, civil society actors, and local stakeholders through information, education, co-design, and hands-on implementation processes. Through participatory learning approaches, living labs, workshops, and practical guide materials, the project aims to both enhance knowledge and skills related to climate adaptation and biodiversity and to engage participants as active citizens who collectively shape the future of their cities. You can learn the project details from its website: https://www.coadaptproject.com
