Community-Based Climate Adaptation and Biodiversity through Small-Scale Nature-Based Solutions

Co-ADAPT
Project Partner
Funding: Erasmus+ KA2 Adult Education Program
Duration: November 2025 – August 2027
Co-ADAPT aims to create more resilient, livable, and greener cities by promoting small-scale nature-based solutions developed with active community participation in response to climate change and biodiversity loss. Implemented in collaboration with partner organizations from Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and Türkiye, the project seeks to translate the concept of nature-based solutions into practical actions that city residents can understand, implement, and adopt in their daily lives. The project supports adults, civil society actors, and local stakeholders through training, co-design, and practical implementation processes. Participatory learning methods, living labs, workshops, and educational materials help strengthen knowledge and skills related to climate adaptation and biodiversity while encouraging citizens to actively contribute to shaping the future of their cities.
As a project partner, DKM:
• Strengthens the project’s focus on climate adaptation, biodiversity, and ecosystem services
• Supports the science-based implementation of small-scale nature-based solutions adapted to local contexts
• Coordinates local activities and stakeholder engagement in Ankara
• Contributes to science communication and the dissemination of project outcomes
