Project Lead: Simurg Association
2C1N Project brought together 90 high school students from across Türkiye through a four-week online learning program centered on the themes of sustainability and ecological restoration. The program focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 13, 14, and 15, addressing climate action, life below water, and life on land.
DKM contributed particularly to SDG 15 (Life on Land) by delivering an online training session titled “Climate Change and Biodiversity” on 4 March 2025, with the participation of 30 students. In addition, four volunteers from the Nature Hosts Training Program supported the workshop as facilitators.

Climate Chain Fellowship Program

Project Lead: Global Shapers Community – Ankara Hub (a youth initiative of the World Economic Forum)
Climate Chain Fellowship Program, implemented between May and October 2025, brought together young participants to explore key topics such as: Nature-based solutions, Circular economy, Climate justice and Local climate scenarios.
The program included four online sessions, two in-person trainings, one panel discussion, and one workshop. DKM contributed to content development and training design, supported the development of workshop structures for in-person sessions, and delivered a “Worldviews” training as well as an “Iceberg Metaphor” workshop.

Ankara International Wildlife Documentary Film Festival

Project Lead: Ankara International Wildlife Documentary Film Festival Organization
Ankara International Wildlife Documentary Film Festival, held for the first time in Türkiye between 15–18 May 2025, aimed to highlight the rich wildlife of Anatolia and raise awareness about nature conservation. The festival received 691 submissions from 89 countries. Among these, seven feature-length and seven short documentaries were selected as finalists and screened during the festival. The program included film screenings, director talks, panels, and presentations focused on wildlife conservation and environmental storytelling. DKM participated as a partner organization and delivered one of the opening speeches at the festival.

Young Eco-Academy Program

Project Lead: Let’s Do It! Türkiye
Young Eco-Academy Program, organized for the fourth time in 2026, aims to empower 35 young people aged 15–24 living or studying in Ankara in the areas of sustainability, climate change, ecological leadership, and environmental governance. As an education partner, DKM delivered training sessions and workshops on 7 March 2026 focusing on Global Environmental Movements and Environmental Awareness, Biodiversity and Biodiversity Conservation These sessions aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of global environmental challenges while encouraging active engagement in sustainability initiatives.
