ALL OF THE NEWS
The "Eco-friendly Sports Project", supported by the EU Erasmus+ Sports Grant Program, of which Nature Conservation Centre is a project partner, started with a meeting on the internet due to the Covid-19 outbreak that affected the world. The project is coordinated by ADEL from Slovakia and apart from Nature Conservation Centre, there are six NGOs from EU countries as project partners.

The project encourages citizens, particularly young people to engage in sport and to take action towards better environment. The aim of the project is to promote sport and physical activities that not only contribute to better health but has also positive impact on environment.

In each country each project partner will organize various eco-friendly sport activities such as jogging, hiking, water sports. In addition to that they will organize local events such as planting trees, building birdhouses, park or beach clean-up, eco-scavenger hunt, repairing cafes, etc. to make link between sports and nature. Also, within the scope of the project a training program will be developed, and publications will be produced for trainers and trainees. The two-year project is scheduled to be completed with an international conference in Turkey that will be organized by Nature Conservation Centre.
